# Agent creation economics — outcome pricing

Create for free. Agents should use the supported research, script, storyboard, image, video, voiceover, music, editing, save and review tools continuously within the customer's creative task. Exercise creative judgment, inspect results and revise the needed components. Do not stop to check a credit balance, obtain a compute quote, request a spending cap, approve a per-action charge or ask for a top-up. Usage and margin-inclusive activity values are visible comparisons, never customer creation charges or workflow gates. Missing usage measurements must not discard accepted results or stop unrelated work.

Payment belongs only at final ad export: each ad unlocks all future versions and re-downloads of its project. One-time packs do not expire. Optional monthly refills are 25% cheaper; unused monthly ads expire at the actual paid billing-period boundary without rollover. Already-unlocked ads stay unlocked. The customer chooses the purchase or recurring subscription explicitly. Creating never buys or subscribes automatically.

Keep the actual creative brief, requested storyboard/rough-cut/final-cut reviews, owner/project isolation, source and likeness permissions, technical/provider safeguards and saved-work verification. A provider outage or capacity limit is a technical issue to diagnose, not a customer billing approval. Preserve accepted work and reconcile uncertain jobs before retrying. Explicit internal QA/operator allocations remain separate and enforced; never turn those into routine customer checkpoints. External media buys, wallet payments and other external purchases still require their own customer authorization.

# TV Ad Production — focused operating guide

Version: 2026-10-14.11

## When to load and prerequisites
Load when creating or continuing an ad, beginning with Setup. Verify the loaded app: new Production uses Setup → Cast & Crew → Script → Production (Step 4 keyframes/video) → Video Editor. The same storyboard, quoted-spend and final-cut approval boundaries apply in the current five-step workflow. Carry exact customer copy and selected sources, not an operating guide, into creative fields. Script authoring or Production entry may trigger paid calls; check the authorized scope first.

At Setup verify business/product/project name, duration, aspect, audience, goal, CTA and strategic guidance. Distinguish a creative guide from a bound identity/product reference. At Cast & Crew inspect selected images/team rather than assuming uploaded candidates were selected. At Script verify the selected master, structured scene/action/dialogue and timing; save/read back before Production. Read all actual on-screen graphics cues, end-card copy, supporting lines, destination/CTA fields and treatment directions against exact user copy. Generated defaults may add overlays, URLs or button copy: an explicit final-title-only instruction excludes those additions. Correct those fields locally before sealing; a prose note does not remove a structured cue. After sealing, a one-shot note edits that shot; it does not reopen Setup/Cast & Crew or replace the master.

Load storyboard before board review or exact-shot correction. Load production-recovery before an ambiguous provider outcome or missing clip. Load editor before timeline/mix work and final export. Optional research and Creative IQ remain separate requested workflows. A completed still board is not a completed video ad.

## Filmmaking operating card — independent operation
MAIN is optional. Visiting assistants operate through the normal authenticated Ruliad controls and current public workflow guides. No MAIN greeting, reply, provider readiness check or MAIN repair call is required to open a workspace, edit, save, reopen or play existing work. Opening For agents enables independent operation in this browser tab and suppresses automatic MAIN greetings and model-based recovery calls. Explicitly sending a message to MAIN remains available when the customer wants its help; its ordinary customer creation is free. A MAIN failure affects that conversation only, not authorized work through functioning controls.

The visiting assistant owns the brief, judgment, normal UI actions and verified customer delivery. Use one needed guide or UI skill at the point of use. Preserve actual user authorization, exact source bindings, saved revisions and job receipts.

| Stage | Apply and inspect | Evidence before reporting completion |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Setup | Verify owner and NEW versus saved intent. Start a distinct new draft through Production → Setup when requested; MAIN startProduction is optional. Apply actual brand/product/name, physical product/service, duration/aspect, live-action format, direct-address audio, goal and close. Reconcile source inputs read-only when exact reuse is required. | Visible/current readback matches the brief; saved draft has a distinct ID; source original preserved. A proposal or guidance note alone is not applied Setup. |
| 2 Talent | Select the intended existing actor/reference into the project and required director/team through current Talent controls. Inspect selected/sealed identity, not merely an uploaded library candidate. | Actual binary-backed actor selection and intended team present. No similar regenerated substitute; loading/sealing finishes before progression. |
| 3 Script | Inspect the selected master, exact dialogue, structured action, shot clock and visual medium. Check every graphics cue, end-card/supporting/CTA field and treatment against exact exclusions; correct locally. Complete required source reference bindings before automatic still dispatch. | Selected saved script/structured fields match exact copy, timing and references after readback. New project does not inherit original production approvals. |
| 4 Production | Generate/inspect authorized missing stills; target only incorrect shots, preserve accepted neighbors. Save/deliver the verified full storyboard PDF. Obtain the requested human creative board decision. Creation and revisions are free; no quote, credit check or spend approval is required. Dispatch approved video once, retain IDs and reconcile existing jobs before retry. | Every current accepted frame inspected; actual PDF delivered. The applicable human creative board decision precedes its dependent new video. Every expected video is playable and saved, not just a queued/ready thumbnail. |
| 5 Video Editor | Read a fresh editor snapshot and load editor skills. Inspect picture and sound, source dialogue, mix, timing and exact graphics; make narrow supported edits. Save/reopen, deliver a playable review link, apply client notes, get current final-cut approval, export and verify the saved master. | Actual edit readback and persistent timeline/mix. Human-reviewed current cut and completed playable saved Broadcast Master. A desktop link or render receipt alone is not the exported artifact. |

### Existing-source input transfer before Production
In Setup, the Manual Reference Authority module supplies Product refs and Context Refs. For recovered product images, use the visible Product reference URLs field and Import URLs with the owner-accessible original gs:// or HTTPS locator, one per line; retain original bytes and verify the resulting usable images and roles. This is image import, not webpage analysis or product generation. For context/location images, use Context Refs' supported file upload with the original verified image file obtained through your host's normal download/file capability. Do not reuse a local filename from another host, assume a screenshot/contact-sheet panel is the original binary, or invent a location-URL importer. Preserve role and available source identity; verify actual selections/readback. If your host cannot retrieve an essential original, state the exact unsupported download/upload step and use MAIN's supported alternative if one exists; missing transport is not missing source. updateProductionSettings changes Setup controls; it has no image-binding parameters.

### Diagnose and recover from the observable result
| Signal | Supported next action | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Stale local handbook | Compare live descriptor; replace default with current core/index and selected modules; read back memory where supported. | Restore the archived monolith as active instructions. |
| Login rejection | Use the host's secure current credential or same-account approved authentication path; verify actual owner/source after success. | Infer account absence, expose a secret, switch account or reset a password yourself. |
| Missing input-handle search result | Inspect source input rails/contact sheet and saved-asset semantics. | Treat output-library search as source absence or a filename as binary identity. |
| Pending MAIN reply or round limit | Read the completed reply/receipt before navigation; on a limit, retain completed evidence and choose one scoped next read/UI action. | Navigate away mid-run, repeat the broad request or ask Codex to interpret routine state. |
| Save/conflict prompt on protected source | Reconcile owner/scope; use Cancel or visible keep-recovery-copy restoration and verify. | Save over the original or discard pending work. |
| Initial Script adds default copy | Edit actual structured cues/end-card/CTA/treatment, then save/read back against exact brief. | Add a prose warning while leaving conflicting fields active. |
| Slow preview/job or reconnect | Read existing job/output/receipt and restore the same project before retry. | Assume provider failure or create another paid job. |
| Incorrect frame/clip | Inspect actual pixels/audio; use the exact-shot/clip revision path; verify only requested changes. | Recast globally, overwrite the master or purchase a new board. |
| Review/export claimed but no artifact | Inspect returned private PDF/watch/master result and deliver the verified usable artifact. | Claim delivery from a toast, clipboard, thumbnail or queue receipt. |

These are procedure cards, not extra approval gates. Stop only the operation with a real unresolved requirement; continue independent authorized work. Do not manufacture assurance: if source identity, save or playback is unverified, report that particular limit.

## Required inputs
A business, product or idea; optional URL, brief and reference assets.

## Reusing exact references from a saved source
When the customer requests a NEW ad using an existing ad's references, verify the source owner/ID and inspect it read-only before starting the distinct new project. This is source inspection, not permission to convert, save over, recast or rerun the original. MAIN should discover the exact findSavedWork/getSavedProjectAssets contracts and read the returned inventory semantics and sourceErrors. getProductionArchitectState with includeContinuity reads the current loaded scope; it has no arbitrary campaignId parameter, and a hidden setup can be stale. Verify the source is actually loaded before treating that result as its inputs.

Input references and output media are different inventories. The Video Editor Media Library contains outputs; zero search results for REFERENCE_IMAGE, PRODUCT_IMAGE or LOCATION_IMAGE handles there do not establish absent input binaries. Inspect the source Production Book/contact sheet and exact shot reference rails, plus its saved Setup/Cast & Crew selections. Record role, handle, filename and available binary identity; a filename alone, duplicated name or thumbnail does not prove two binaries are identical. Reconcile contradictory summaries against actual selected references and saved bindings; do not infer an unseen front image, switch product type from a stale service summary or silently substitute a similar actor/car/location. If one required reference cannot be recovered, name that reference precisely and continue independent authorized work.

After creating the new project, bind the recovered original inputs through supported selection/upload controls and verify the new project's actual selections and structured settings before any dispatch. Open Production may immediately generate missing storyboard frames; do not assume there is a free reference-binding interval after opening it. Use the supported pre-launch input controls or a verified no-dispatch preparation path. Inspect existing jobs before any retry. A written prompt saying same talent/product/location is not a reference binding. Change the visual medium in the new script/settings only, retaining the specified identity and product truth. Source storyboard/video/final approvals do not approve the new ad.

## Read state and use normal protected navigation
Ask for the smallest useful current read and inspect its returned result. Read the MAIN reply before navigating away; navigation can reset the chat and cancel a pending run. Do not repeat a broad inventory request after a tool-round limit. Use its completed receipt, then one scoped read or the supported reference UI. Required instruction retrieval can expand to one exact tool contract without loading unrelated workflows.

A Save Before Switching dialog can appear for any meaningful open session; its presence alone does not prove unsaved human edits. Pause and reconcile the exact scope. Cancel closes the prompt without switching. Where the same-owner source exposes Reopen saved project (keep recovery copy), the supported recovery captures pending local work to device storage, reloads the saved source and completes the pending switch; verify completion. This is non-destructive recovery within the task. Do not choose Save & Switch for a read-only protected source, or Discard & Switch to avoid reconciliation. If recovery fails or is unavailable, preserve the session and report the actual conflict.

## Supported actions
1. For a NEW ad, select Production in the left sidebar and use its normal Setup entry. Verify Step 1 Setup, Brand, Product and Project Name. Apply the authorized brief through the actual fields. Do not use Creative Strategy in the lower-left pop-out or search existing brand projects to start a new ad. Optional MAIN startProduction uses the same protected entry. To resume an existing ad, use Projects > Open project (Load) for its exact saved project ID, then verify the actual selected script and references. Preserve unrelated work and resolve normal Save & Exit or conflict controls before switching. An ID in the URL alone does not prove the project loaded. MAIN need not inspect or open it first.
2. Prepare the brief, review the initial concept and opening rationale yourself or with optional ruliad help, and preserve the accepted direction and user edits.
3. Follow script, storyboard, video, audio, graphics and editing through free creation within the authorized creative task. Missing optional references are advisories.
4. Inspect existing jobs and accepted media before retrying a failed or interrupted step.
5. Authorized assistants may inspect the actual full frame against the saved shot and references, then use Accept frame themselves within the delegated task. Review verifier findings, record a reason, and revise mismatches; never accept unseen frames or infer approval from generation status. This assistant frame acceptance never replaces human approval of the complete storyboard where the human reserved that creative review.
6. Step 5 human review: load the autonomous editing instructions, maintain the creative brief and edit list, enlarge Timeline view, run Check rough cut / inspect_rough_cut, repair music overruns and timeline issues, use available multimodal video/audio analysis to improve the creative, watch and listen, save/reopen, and work in Ruliad’s video editor on the strongest rough cut from the approved script/storyboard, then save with Review rough cut / createMobileReviewLink and read the returned watch link, then send that exact clickable link in your own customer chat for playback in the human’s own browser; never rely on a remote clipboard or takeover modal, with desktopUrl separately for editing, revision, duration and known issues to the human. Invite playback, timeline edits or shot/time-specific spoken feedback. Save changes and return the updated link. Keep client notes, return revised cuts and obtain final-cut approval before master export, then verify Broadcast Master MP4 is complete and saved with the project. This never blocks Step 4 generation.
7. Step 4 still-frame generation and revisions may continue within the authorized creative task. Before NEW Step 4 video: save and visually check the full board, use Create PDF review link in the Production Matrix top header, open and verify the actual PDF, and send the returned private account-authenticated link to the human in chat with campaign, revision, shot count and known limits. Send the full URL unchanged. Explain own-browser login or Muse Take control of the browser for scrolling/thumbnails. Keep the review window; no competing browser task during human review. Download PDF is an alternative only if your host can retrieve and attach the file; a download toast is not delivery. Take spoken/typed shot feedback through exact shot modals and return a revised PDF. Obtain the requested human creative decision for the current storyboard. Continue free authorized production without a quote, balance check or billing approval. A changed board requires only its applicable creative review. Assistant frame acceptance does not replace a reserved human creative decision.

## Expected outputs and verification
An editable ad project and a verified exported video.
- Play the actual exported picture and sound; check duration, aspect, graphics and CTA.
- Verify save/reopen and reconcile the terminal job result.

## Common failures and recovery
Inspect the current scope, exact error, job, receipt and saved output before retrying. Apply supported non-destructive recovery through the current product controls, verify and save. MAIN consultation is optional. If required inputs, authentication, technical capacity or instructions are unavailable, name that specific blocker and continue independent authorized work. No duplicate paid jobs or inferred completion.

## Dependencies and expansion
Required: core. Load script; storyboard; production-recovery; editor; production-judgment only when the task reaches that operation. Use tools to discover exact MAIN schemas or standalone skill guides; load only the selected contract.

## Current entry and same-master continuation
Routine same-account sign-in is part of the already authorized task: use your host secure vault or saved login without asking again. Failed autofill is not proof credentials are unavailable; try the supported credential selector. Never paste passwords into chat. If credentials or host capability are unavailable, request only the authentication action actually needed through secure sign-in or same-account Browser Bridge. Verify the account/project and resume through the normal workflow controls; MAIN chat is optional. See the current handbook for recovery details.

New version deployed: save pending edits and click Reload yourself; verify the same project/jobs and current workbook. No human permission relay.

The visiting assistant owns the brief, creative judgment, normal UI actions, verification and delivery. Read the current selected workflow guide directly. Work independently of any MAIN model or external coding coordinator. Optional MAIN collaboration never becomes a prerequisite for supported product controls.

Choose supported routine recovery yourself and verify its result within the existing creative task. Use the normal controls and current guides; consult MAIN only if useful and available. Do not ask the customer to relay routine operational decisions. Return the verified reviewable result and surface only a genuinely unresolved issue, missing access or required human creative decision.

Continue autonomously through Cast & Crew, Script and the complete saved Step 4 storyboard within the customer-authorized creative task. Routine selections, script authoring, saves, still-frame generation and repairs need no repeated permission. Use supported controls and working provider paths directly. Optional /production-next is deterministic guidance, not a prerequisite. A failed chat request must not freeze the project: preserve exact copy and accepted assets, inspect existing jobs before retrying, and complete unaffected steps. Deliver the verified storyboard PDF; retain the actual product review boundary before new Step 4 video. Never treat an assistant-written monitor hold as a new human restriction.

After Production, Setup and Cast & Crew are locked for this production and a fresh script cannot replace its master. A human note about one shot is an edit to that existing shot: use the exact Step4 editing modal, or optional MAIN reviseStoryboardShot, for the exact shot/revision and protected neighbors to re-prompt and verify the intended character/reference binaries. Regenerate only affected frames, save/read back and return the revised PDF. Do not restart the ad or globally recast because a frame is wrong.

A narrow exact-copy correction includes every coupled field that would reintroduce the unwanted copy: the graphics cue, editable treatment text, end-card/supporting/CTA fields and conflicting shot action. Do not leave the old treatment describing deleted overlays under a supposed narrow-scope exception. Preserve unaffected content, and verify both visible copy and its production directions before claiming the correction complete. Placeholder text is not an active saved value; inspect actual input values/readback.

NO_SCOPED_CONTINUITY_GUIDE means no continuity plan for the currently loaded owner/project is available; an early Setup/Script draft may not have one yet. It does not prove saved source images are missing or prevent a default getProductionArchitectState read. Use the exact source's getSavedProjectAssets/getCreativeAssetState read or supported source reference UI; do not repeat includeContinuity on the same scope hoping to create a plan.

“This Main Agent request was already reserved” is an existing billing/request-state issue, not a reference-binding result or evidence of unavailable credits. Retain the exact run/event receipt and read its status before another request. Do not replay it unchanged, invent a refund or bypass the reservation guard. A new supported narrow turn requires reconciling the earlier attempt; continue independent UI work only when its own state and authorization are known. A successful reconciliation receipt is not successful binding. If status cannot be inspected with current tools, preserve the draft and report the precise unresolved request; never claim a knowledge note repaired the backend.

## Revisions and finished-video style
Before History, ClipMiner or input/style edits, load `production-revisions`: recovery, exact sources, save/reopen and visual verification. Preserve neighbors; reconcile uncertain attempts before another take. Navigation or a style change never authorizes generation.

Uploaded talent is selected directly from `cast-and-crew`. Uploading supplies permission; no pictured-person signature, email, independent review or campaign-specific likeness form is required. Preserve exact source identity and provenance. Normal USD quotes, budgets and current-project checks still apply; never charge a card or buy funds without explicit approval.

In Production Architect Step 1, provide the approved strategy, audience, objective, placement, brand voice, supported claims, references and authorized scope. Ruliad uses these inputs and available research to draft its first Concept. The optional Why this opening explanation connects a creative choice to the brief. The user can use the draft as Strategic Guidance, edit it or supply their own script. Preserve user-authored revisions and the accepted direction; when inputs change, use Update concept draft for a separate suggestion and replace edited guidance only when requested. Hook frameworks expand options without imposing a format, word limit or shot count, and competitor patterns do not prove performance. Prepare the brief and evidence, inspect the current Concept and edit the supported Strategic Guidance controls directly. MAIN consultation is optional: getAdProductionGuide discovers the workflow, getAppContext and getProductionArchitectState read the current scope, prepareCreativeBrief organizes a direction, and updateStrategicGuidance applies an authorized choice with the exact active campaign id or expectedDraftSessionId. Verify readback and saved persistence. Guidance edits do not rewrite a selected master: edit its supported Script controls directly, or optionally use getCurrentScript and updateScript. Carry the saved accepted direction and references forward. Avoid duplicate research, unchanged-input refresh loops and reopening settled decisions; reuse existing authorization for routine work in scope. After generation, act as the client’s creative representative: check every spoken line and visual claim against the approved brief, actual brand, product capabilities, offer and CTA. Correct unsupported tier names, instant-result claims or app-store availability; use accurate broader wording when uncertain and continue. Edit generated dialogue/voiceover, action and graphics directly in Script Lock, or ask Main Agent to use getCurrentScript and updateScript. Preserve client-approved exact copy and settings. Check scene timing, natural delivery, unintended repetition and internal QA labels; word counts are advisory, then verify actual audio when available. Keep VO, visuals and end-card messaging consistent, save and read back the selected script. Do not regenerate the full script for a local correction. Main Agent chat need not stay open during direct editing. Record what changed, why and any uncertainty in QA; this is not an extra approval gate.

Review the current storyboard and obtain the human creative decisions required by the task. Ordinary customer creation, revisions, analysis, audio and editing are free. Never ask for a compute quote, credit top-up, available balance or billing approval to continue those steps. Usage values are informational and never an amount owed. Payment happens only when unlocking a finished ad at Export; each ad includes all future versions. Monthly subscriptions require explicit opt-in. Retain source, likeness, creative-review and provider safeguards. Separate internal QA/operator allocations, including the existing $50 cap, remain enforced and never fall through to unlimited customer creation.

Step 4 storyboard still-image generation, visual QA and targeted revisions are free within the creative task. Prioritize delivering the actual current storyboard PDF before unrelated QA reports. A browser-local filename or ready toast is not a delivered review link.

PDF delivery procedure: Scroll the Step 4 main panel to the Production Matrix header. Choose Create PDF review link. Wait for the visible Storyboard PDF ready for human review result, then read the actual Open private storyboard PDF review link or Copy private storyboard PDF review link field. This uploads the complete versioned PDF into the signed-in owner's private storage, verifies the saved bytes, and returns an account-authenticated review address. Send that exact link privately in the human user's assistant chat immediately; the human opens it signed into the same Ruliad account. It is a read-only snapshot, not an approval receipt. Do not switch accounts to make a mismatched link work, expose storage grants, publish campaign content, or manufacture a URL. Interactive handoff: Send the complete URL, including its final review identifier, without truncating or reconstructing it; use Copy storyboard review message. Explain: open it in your own browser signed into the same account, or in Muse choose Take control of the browser before scrolling/selecting thumbnails. Offer Download this PDF. During human review, do not navigate that window away or start a competing browser task. Seeing the PDF does not prove customer control; if takeover fails, deliver the exact link or actual PDF attachment. The page offers Download this PDF. The ordinary Download PDF button is an alternative only when your host can retrieve the browser download and attach the actual file to the human chat; a browser-local filename, blob URL, download toast, screenshot, print capture or HTML page is not a delivered PDF. Do not use Email Storyboard as a PDF-link substitute.

## Find and import product images yourself

An authorized ad-production task includes ordinary research to find, retrieve and import relevant product, logo, app and location images using the tools available to your host and Ruliad. Customer uploads are one source, not a prerequisite. Do not ask for separate image-by-image approval when the existing task already covers asset selection; preserve any explicit customer review requirement, access restriction and spending limit.

Start with customer attachments, the current project and authorized Brand/Asset libraries, then customer-designated asset locations and official advertiser or product sources. You may search the web or image search to discover the official site, press kit, manufacturer page, official app-store listing or verified brand channel. Open the source page and verify the exact brand, product variant and intended use before importing. Search results alone do not establish identity or usage rights. Domain-ownership confirmation is not a prerequisite to researching public sources; ask only when advertiser identity, permission to use an asset or a material creative choice is genuinely unresolved.

Use existing authorized access for private folders or connectors. If new access is required, use the supported sign-in or connector flow; never request passwords or tokens in chat or bypass denied access. A local file on the customer’s computer is not automatically present in a hosted browser. Request a supported transfer only for files you actually need and cannot otherwise access.

If one scrape fails or returns no images, try another relevant source or retrieve the actual file through supported browser, search, download and upload tools. Ask Ruliad Main System Agent to help inspect available assets and sourcing tools within the current task. Do not treat one failed scrape as proof that no product images exist. A brand-assets manifest or press kit can help when available, but neither is required and this guide does not imply a new Setup field or connector exists.

Record the source page or customer attachment, original filename and intended role without exposing private access tokens. Inspect the rendered pixels, assign the correct product, talent, location or logo role, save into the project’s supported durable asset storage, and verify after reopening. Prefer the original usable asset at adequate resolution. Respect brand usage rules and do not replace selected talent or borrow a competitor’s product because it looks similar.

Do not invent a product reference means do not pass a fabricated logo, screen or product depiction off as an authentic source image merely to satisfy a check. It does not forbid finding real images, or creating clearly identified illustrations or graphics within the agreed concept. If an essential authentic asset remains unavailable after reasonable sourcing, explain the specific gap and ask once for what is needed. Continue unaffected work; optional missing references in service/app ads remain advisory. Do not describe generic screens as verified product UI, or call an ad fully verified while requested product imagery is missing.
